The Marriage of Pam Sweeney and Charlie Horner

On Sunday, October 23, 2005, I was privileged to attend the wedding of Pam Sweeney and Charlie Horner. The wedding took place in New Hope, PA... it was a wonderful day in so many respects. Below are some photographs taken at the wedding. I hope you enjoy.

Pam And Charlie exchanging their vows. The Solitaires are seated in the first row, having just sung "The Wedding" acappella.

Mucho talent. Back Row standing: The Solitaires. Front Row seated: The Deep River Quartet

The playlist for this past Saturday's Halloween show mysteriously disappeared. Perhaps it will turn up somewhere or, if we're all lucky, it has disintegrated into thin air, or perhaps another dimension.

Below are photos taken at the Deep River Quartet's visit to WRDV on October 22, 2005. Our transmitter was down that day, and the concert only went out via the internet. My local recording system for the day broke down... but fortunately Lowell Thiel did get some of it. And late breaking news.. Karen Efron did tape the whole show and is sending me a copy. Assuming it arrives in good shape, I will be loading it onto disk and "re" broadcasting much of the show sometime in the next couple of weeks.

Once again a late post. Sorry about that. As I announced last week.... I will not be doing my show today... Ray Moore is filling in. But I'll be back next week with an all-"tasty" show... some of the best in R and B vocal group recordings. The following week, we'll celebrate the eighth anniversary of Sound Of The City with an all-Philly show... and for the week of Oct 22, it looks like the very special day I alluded to last week is all set up. I'll be announcing it on the show next week. Finally, for October 29th's show, I'm considering... for the first time... a Halloween special.
